About this course

By training in meditation, we create an inner space and clarity that enables us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstances. (Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche)

Our meditation classes are suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, and give you the opportunity to learn more about meditation, Buddhism, and finding peace and happiness from within.

Classes include guided meditations, a short practical topical talk, and an opportunity to ask questions.

Are we, as human beings, built to withstand the pressures of our current times?

It’s no secret that humanity has been going through a rough patch, and a lot of people have been struggling to stay afloat. Our collective ability to weather adversities and bounce back to emotional stability is being challenged daily and we are asked to become more resilient. Resilience exists when a person uses „mental processes and behaviours in promoting personal skills and protecting the self from the potential negative effects of stressors“. 

Buddha specialized in overcoming suffering – his teachings deal with all aspects of the human experience, including trauma, grief, loneliness, uncertainty, depression, anxiety, and feeling overwhelmed. In these weekly classes, we use Buddha’s teachings known as Dharma to learn how to become more resilient so that we can rebound from adversity as a strengthened and more resourceful person.

The classes will include guided meditations, a topical talk, and an opportunity for questions and answers. Teaching come from the book “Modern Buddhism” by Geshe Kelsang Gayatso

Teacher

Sandra Lacueva teaches our Meditation Class on Fridays and workshops in English.
She met Kadam Dharma in South Africa in 2010 and lived at the Kadampa Buddhist Temple in Portugal for two years. Now she works at a bank in Frankfurt.

Salome Werth is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditationszentrum Frankfurt. She has successfully completed the ITTP, a special 6-months Teacher Training Programme at Manjushri KMC in England in 2020.

In her teachings she emphasizes the practical application of Buddha´s Teachings in our every day life in order to find happiness and inner peace and the real meaning of our human life.
